Our Provider

Dr. Shawn J. Cones established Cones Family Medicine Midtown in 2012.  His goal was to provide quality patient care through focusing on patient education, chronic disease prevention, and cancer screening to Central Arkansas and surrounding areas.

In 2000, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology from the College of Health-Related Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).  In 2006, he obtained a Medical Doctorate from UAMS.  In 2009, He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the UAMS Area Health Education Center-South in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Dr. Cones grew up in Fordyce, Arkansas, where he met his wife, Tunesia, in 1991.  The couple enjoys outdoor activities, sports events, working with community outreach programs, spending time with family and traveling.

He is excited about serving Central Arkansas and is looking forward to taking care of our community.
